# OmniPoll Charter As of 2026-10-04. Status: draft for Ring 0. Changes to this charter are announced and logged; where it says so, members vote on them. Joining OmniPoll is joining a membership. Every member agrees to the same short charter, and every line of it is meant to be checkable. ## Five pillars 1. **Radical transparency.** Our goals, current state, gaps and the work to close them are public on a live status board. 2. **Radical control.** You decide, item by item, who sees what. Any choice can be changed or undone at any time. 3. **Radical ownership.** Your data is yours. You can see all of it, export it, delete it, and see every use of it. 4. **Verifiable, not trusted.** The core is open. You, an AI agent or anyone else can confirm the system does what it says. 5. **Members govern.** Members vote on how OmniPoll works: its look and feel (binding), what to build next and its rules (advisory). ## What a member agrees to - Your account starts private and anonymous. Nobody sees your answers unless you share them. - You are one verified person with one account. You never have to show your real name. - Sharing only happens by explicit, mutual agreement with specific people. Each side chooses what the other sees. - Adding your anonymized answers to the shared picture (the commons) is offered plainly. It is optional, and saying no is respected. - Everyone sees headline results. Detailed breakdowns open when you contribute. - Our goal is that members share in the revenue their data generates, after platform fees. This is a stated goal with visible progress, not yet a promise, until the legal work is done. - We never sell or show your identifiable data without your grant, and never quietly change these rules. ## The monogamy check - It appears only for members whose private relationship status says they are in a relationship. - Each verified person holds one romantic token. A partner duo uses both partners' tokens; neither can start another until it ends. Profiles marked polyamorous have no single-token limit, and their partners see that. - Either partner can end the duo alone, at any time. Nobody can look up whether a person is paired. - In Ring 0 the token is enforced privately: only the two partners see the badge and its proof. It becomes a public badge once an outside witness co-signs the proof log and the log cannot be used to time a breakup. - It proves exclusivity on OmniPoll, not faithfulness. It is only as strong as one person, one account.
